VOLUNTEER

Each of our volunteers makes a valuable contribution to the organisation, enhancing the service Langdon offers and the lives of the people we support.

Our volunteers are invaluable. We never forget that volunteering is your choice and appreciate you giving your time freely to help Langdon meet its aims without receiving any financial remuneration or reward.  We recognise and value your contribution, commitment and participation, which helps us continue our vital work, whether you are supporting Langdon Foundation, Community or College.

Langdon aims to involve volunteers to:
• Ensure our services meet the needs of our people
• Provide new skills, experiences and perspectives
• Increase our contact with the local community

Langdon’s commitment is to ensure that volunteers are appropriately integrated into the organisation. Mechanisms will be in place to enable volunteers to make a tangible contribution that enhances both our people and the work undertaken by our paid employees. Volunteers are not to replace paid employees, yet there may be occasions when volunteers work closely with Langdon employees.

We encourage volunteers to meet their own goals - whether that's gaining a sense of fulfilment or promoting personal development. Langdon will look to support this by providing training where appropriate.  At all times, however we engage with our volunteers, we are committed to maintaining confidentiality.

Langdon reimburses all pre-agreed expenses incurred by volunteers while working for the organisation on production of receipts.
