WHAT WE DO
Langdon Housing operates all the housing management and tenancies for those people in supported living. Over and above this Langdon Housing is contracted by Langdon Foundation to manage the property portfolio.
Langdon Housing will also manage the fixtures and fittings budget and collect contributions from families. It is set-up as a separate registered charity with its own Trustees and is accountable as such.
Providing options for Jewish adults with learning difficulties/disabilities Langdon Housing has a number of houses and flats it manages on behalf of Langdon Foundation situated in the North Manchester and North London areas providing accommodation whilst working closely with Langdon Community who provide care and support for people aged 18 upwards, from all over the U.K.
Langdon Housing also organises the Landlord and Housing Service role from the head office at Rectory Lane in Prestwich, Manchester and include Edgware and Manchester properties.
These are some of the tasks that Langdon Housing does:
1. To provide a well-organised, open and sensitive housing management service for Langdon Tenants and those applying for Langdon Housing
2. Provide information, advice and guidance to Tenants. This will include the preparation of Tenancy Agreements and Information Packs for new tenants.
3. Enforcement of tenancy conditions and ensuring the housing is maintained in good condition.
4. Enabling people to move from one property to another as their housing needs change.
5. To respond promptly to enquiries and complaints from tenants and members of the general public.
6. To liaise with tenants on wider housing management issues as required.
7. To take appropriate action to ensure the successful resolution of anti-social behaviour in accordance with the Langdon Housing policies and procedures.
8. To manage the Handy Person services and prioritise minor day to day repairs required for the proper maintenance and improvement of all properties.
9. To ensure that Invoices for Tenants utility bills and other services are issued (by Central Services) in a timely manner and accept payments from people who are members of the Langdon Housing Budgeting scheme
10. To report formally to the Langdon Foundation Trustees via the Langdon Property Group in line with Charity Commission and Company’s House requirements.
