HOUSING

Here at Langdon we give young adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities the opportunity to live independently in their own home, either sharing with friends or living alone close to other members of the Langdon community.

We offer those we support a choice of four housing options:

Supported Living – living as a tenant in a Langdon-owned property;
Property Purchase – living in a self-purchased property
Langdon Outreach – buying into Langdon’s services using Self-Directed Support without being resident in one of our properties;
Residential Care - we have a limited number of places in Clore House, our Manchester-based residential care home for those with greater support needs.

"We make it easier for our clients to live independently by removing many of the headaches typically involved in maintaining a home"

Our well-maintained properties, all of which are in North Manchester or North London, range from one-bedroom flats to five-bedroom houses. From mezzuzahs on the doorposts to kosher kitchens, whichever type of accommodation our people choose, all are designed to support a Jewish home life.

We make it easier for our clients to live independently by removing many of the headaches typically involved in maintaining a home by:
• Carrying out repairs
• Gardening
• Installing phones and broadband
• Insuring fixtures and fittings
• Arranging the annual Gas Safety Certificate
• Funding a NICEIC electrical safety test
